Initiative to Focus on Evolving Editorial Workflow, Enhancing Skill Sets with Planar Tracking Skills

GUILDFORD, UK (September 30, 2009) Imagineer Systems announced today that it has launched a series of free training sessions and has bolstered its online tutorials as part of a new customer training initiative focused on expanding editors’ and VFX artists’ skill sets, while also demonstrating the newest advances in motion tracking, replacement and stabilization with tools such as mocha, mocha for After Effects and mocha for Final Cut.

With this announcement, Imagineer Systems has opened registration for its New York City training session being held on October 8th, 2009, as well as for its Los Angeles session being held on October 15th, 2009. The Company also announced today that has significantly enhanced its online tutorial offerings on www.imagineersystems.com, and is offering new training content developed by Imagineer product specialists, as well as by such VFX industry experts as Ben Heusner of Curious Turtle.

“We’re placing a big emphasis on education and training, beginning in an aggressive way during the month of October, and continuing for as long as necessary to ensure our customers are well prepared to tackle new opportunities with new tool sets,” said Ross Shain, chief marketing officer of Imagineer Systems. “The title of ‘editor’ is taking on new meaning as traditional editors are increasingly tasked with newer and more complex challenges - challenges that our planar tracking technology is designed to handle with ease. By taking our mocha family directly to the users in these major market cities, we’re showing them first hand just how easy their workflow can be when they integrate these new skill sets.”

About mocha

The tracker in the mocha family of VFX tools is based on Imagineer Systems’ unique 2.5D Planar Tracking technology, which is significantly more robust than traditional point trackers typically found in today’s editing systems. mocha enables users to obtain high quality tracks, even in situations where objects are moving out of frame, lack detail, motion blur and heavy grain.
